What exactly is a Plan of Study?
A Plan of Study is a personalized, semester-by-semester schedule that maps out the courses you need to complete your degree based on your major, academic standing, and goals.
How is AcademicAlly different from my academic advisor?
AcademicAlly offers more time, detail, and flexibility. While advisors are a great resource, they’re often overbooked. I take the time to dive deep into your unique goals, course options, and long-term plans.
Who is this service for?
AcademicAlly is perfect for college students who want a clear academic roadmap, especially those changing majors, pursuing double majors or minors, transferring, or preparing for graduate school.
Can you guarantee I’ll graduate on time?
While I can’t guarantee graduation, I can help you make informed decisions that maximize your chances. Your plan will be designed to meet your goals efficiently and effectively.
How does the process work?
You’ll fill out a quick intake form with your academic background and goals. Then we’ll schedule a consultation, and within a few days, you’ll receive a customized Plan of Study.
What information do I need to provide?
You’ll need your degree audit or transcript, your school’s course catalog, and any program requirements for your major/minor/concentration.
How long does it take to get my plan?
After your consultation and once I have all the necessary info, your plan will typically be ready within 1 - 2 weeks.
Can I make changes to my plan later?
Absolutely! Life changes, and so can your plan. Some packages include unlimited revisions, or you can request updates as needed for a small fee.
How do you take payment?
After our initial consultation, I will send a service agreement to be signed by the student and the payer (if different from student). Once the agreement is signed, payment can be sent via Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or CashApp.
What’s included in each package?
Each package includes a custom Plan of Study, course recommendations, and optional consultation time. Check the Packages page for full details.
Do you offer discounts or group rates?
Yes! I offer referral discounts and discounted rates for individuals in unique financial situations.
What’s the difference between the Standard and Premium packages?
The Standard package includes one full Plan of Study and one revision (within the same academic term). The Premium package includes ongoing support with one planning meeting per term and unlimited revisions—great for students with evolving goals or complex schedules.
What is the Digital Download, and who is it best for?
The Digital Download is a blank version of the template I use to build all Plans of Study. It’s perfect for students who want to DIY their schedule with a little more structure and guidance.
Can I upgrade from Standard to Premium later?
Yes! If you purchase the Standard plan and decide you’d like ongoing support, you can apply your initial payment toward the Premium plan within the same academic year.
What does the Senior Special include?
It includes a customized plan for your final academic year—great for staying on track to graduate, wrapping up requirements, or balancing coursework with internships or job prep.
Do you work with transfer students or adult learners?
Yes! I love working with non-traditional students and can help evaluate credits and build plans around your unique needs.
Can I use this with my academic advisor?
Definitely! In fact, I highly encourage it. Many students find it helpful to bring their AcademicAlly plan to advising meetings. It shows initiative and can help guide the conversation. Additionally, my own research is limited to publicly available information. Your advisor may have insights on upcoming courses or programs that I do not.
Is this service affiliated with any college or university?
No, AcademicAlly is an independent service and is not affiliated with any specific institution.
